After the plethora of holiday tournaments and New Year’s events, the top five remain the same in our weekly State Top 30 boys basketball rankings. The big questions are is No. 6 JSerra as strong as the first five and can NorCal’s top clubs realistically compete with any of them? There are five newcomers led by No. 19 Rancho Cucamonga and one of the teams to drop out is Mater Dei of Santa Ana, which is not among the Top 20 for the first time in 27 seasons. We also offer an early comment about the computer rankings that the CIF Southern Section will be using to seed all playoff teams this season.
Note: The Boys BB State Top 30 updates from now to the CIF championships is for our Gold Club members only.
