Here’s where we have things lined up before this weekend’s CIF section championship games. Several already are done with teams locked into slots on our board. We have moved up both McClymonds in the north and Narbonne in the south, but admit those are the two big wild cards difficult to know how the CIF will handle. We will have updated projections posted late on Saturday night before the CIF section commissioners meet on Sunday to finalize this year’s matchups.

Before going through all of the possible matchups, there are several major, important reminders for all to consider. These are the same reminders as we’ve had so skip to the new projections if you already know them.
First, there are always upsets in section playoffs in which the top seeded team in a bracket is knocked off in a section final or earlier. Each team listed in these projections is either the highest seeded team remaining in that bracket or it’s the team with the highest MaxPreps/CalPreps computer ranking.
