NEW Regional Bowl Game Projections

The confetti was flying after another lopsided win last week by Winters in the CIF Northern Section. The Warriors have outscored their foes by a 429-43 margin in their 10 wins on the field so far this season. Photo: @wintersfootball / X.com.

There’s only one new team on the North side of our board and one switch of teams for a division since we first looked at the scenarios for CIF regional football finals. In the South, the Narbonne situation in the L.A. City Section changed again, we did a geographical switch of teams to set up a possible all-Central Section matchup and there are six new teams listed in top positions for their section playoff brackets.

Before going through all of the possible matchups, there are several major, important reminders for all to consider. These are the same reminders as last week so skip to the new projections if you already know them.

First, there are always upsets in section playoffs in which the top seeded team in a bracket is knocked off in a section final or earlier. Each team listed in these projections is either the highest seeded team remaining in that bracket or it’s the team with the highest MaxPreps/CalPreps computer ranking.
