We are on a trip overseas this week so there will be no games attended on Friday night and there will be no weekly state rankings for one week. For this week on Friday, we’re running the first and second parts of our updated look at the greatest teams in state history in a reverse countdown that will end on Monday. This group starts off with the highest ranked new team from after the pandemic and this is Mater Dei’s unbeaten team from 2021.

Note: All of the writeups, grid logs, photos and more for all of these teams are for our Gold Club members only. We are still offering Gold Club signups for just $12.99 for three months or $4.99 for one month. If you’ve thought about joining, just going through this attempt at ranking the greatest football teams in state history may be worth it just by itself. For details, CLICK HERE.
