For the 20th time since 2005, here’s a chart of the top players from California high school girls basketball viewed by the Girls of Summer Caravan during all events attended in person starting in June and extending into August. This time, it’s a list with 180 names. It starts with the only two players to get a 9.5 mark out of 10 down to everyone with 7.0 or higher. This isn’t a ranking of the top 180 players in the state because not all of them were able to be seen in person at a summer event but it’s also a great way to see how much some of these really young up and coming players are highly regarded.

In 2005 when Cal-Hi Sports was part of Student Sports and we were all part of ESPN, as the lead girls basketball analyst for Cal-Hi Sports back then just like today, we were asked to evaluate the players invited to the Nike Elite Skills Academy for the top incoming seniors and juniors in the nation.

The four-day event was held before the NCAA Viewing Period from June 30 to July 4 at the Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
