Our next to last stop in our series of preseason all-section or all-area football teams covers the CIF Central Coast Section. It’s been the home of the top NorCal team for 2021, 2022 & 2023 from Serra (San Mateo). The Padres lost a tremendous senior class, which is shown by more players on this team from both Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco) and St. Francis (Mountain View). Winning on the field, however, will not be easy. The linemen on this team also are so stellar we had to pick six instead of five.
Note: These preseason all-section or all-area teams are done in the same 30-player format as the annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. They are based on a combination of what the players did last fall and college recruiting. Not every all-section team will have writeups of every player. Some will have an intro, then lists.
