The Bay Area Basketball Coaches Association (BABCA), with the support of both the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) is hosting Boys California Live ’24 this weekend. For the first time, the boys event will be held in Northern California and takes place from Friday to Sunday June 28-30, 2024 during the second of the NCAA’s two 2024 June Scholastic Live Periods.

Boys California Live ‘24 will be held in the Sacramento metro area in the city of Roseville at 12-court Roebbelen Center. The address for the facility is:

700 Event Center Dr.
Roseville, CA 95678

Fans can pre-purchase tickets for entrance ($10) into the event from GoFAN by CLICKING HERE; Fans can also purchase tickets at the facility for $10 using GoFan, Zelle, Venmo or cash.

Parking for the event is $10 (cash only).

The event is managed by BABCA, just as Girls California Live ’23 event was at the Roebbelen Center. Boys California Live ‘24 will provide a platform for high school student-athletes to demonstrate their talent in front of NCAA Men’s basketball coaches all under one roof in a scholastic setting playing with their high school teams.

The event features 168 teams and to maximize the exposure and to ensure specific matchups for college coaches, a four-game pool play format will be used for the event. A vast majority of the teams will play one game Friday, two pool play games on Saturday and will meet the same place finisher of another pool of similar talent level on Sunday. The Sunday games between first place finishers should be high level games and many of them will feature multiple D1 college prospects on one court. To see the various pool play schedules, CLICK HERE.

“BABCA is thrilled to be selected by the CIF to host Boys Cali Live ’24,” said Randal Bessolo, event manager and head coach at University High School of San Francisco. “BABCA is committed to serving our coaches and players and the event will be a unique opportunity for the best high school teams in California to compete against each other in front of college coaches. Our experience successfully running Girls Cali Live ’23 at the Roebbelen center last year has given BABCA the experience to deliver a first class event for California high schools, players, college coaches and fans.”

The event is limited to high school teams from California that are full CIF members, plus select programs from contiguous states, with an intention to showcase teams with a Division I college prospect. There was an application process for CIF teams and select teams from the contiguous states to be selected for this prestigious event and some out-of-state teams selected, particularly those from Arizona, feature legit D1 prospects.
