This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. More than lists and numbers, we can provide historical context since we’ve maintained state records in California for more than 40 years. The highlight in baseball is Zane Nordquist from El Camino of Oceanside with a second straight no-hitter, which will go into the state records but there is a pitcher from the San Diego Section in there from before. For softball, home runs continue to pile up for Alyssa Torres of Valley View, Kendall Nakano of Norwalk and Sofia Mujica of El Cajon Granite Hills.
