This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. More than lists and numbers, we can provide historical context since we’ve maintained state records in California for more than 40 years. Home runs in softball takes the lead this week as we have confirmed a state record tying four in one game for Rio Linda’s Alyssa Williams from a few weeks ago and there were three hit on Monday this week by University Prep’s Dani Jackman. Dani also is closing in on state career record. For baseball, Valencia West Ranch’s Mikey Murr hits for the cycle and Ryan Sanchez of Rancho Buena Vista dominates on the mound.
