This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. More than lists and numbers, we can provide historical context since we’ve maintained state records in California for more than 40 years. In softball, leaders include 10 RBI in one day for Fresno State-bound standout, 19 strikeouts in one game for Arcadia pitcher and back-to-back no-hitters for ace pitcher on state top 10 team. For baseball, it’s the 500th win for Granite Hills’ James Davis, four doubles in one game that tied a section record and a remarkable closing total in the no-hit innings streak for Camarillo’s Boston Bateman.
