The regional playoff brackets are set and the top two seeds in both the North and South open brackets receive byes, but after that there is a mixed bag of seedings that don’t really match our boys basketball weekly State Top 35. We’ll run down why and how some of the seedings don’t follow the results of the season. State No. 4 Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks actually was not seriously considered for the SoCal Open Division and in fact was seeded only No. 7 in the South for D1.
