This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. More than lists and numbers, we can provide historical context since we’ve maintained state records in California for more than 40 years. For boys hoops, there’s a new 2,000-point scorer from the CIF San Diego Section but he still has his senior season left to play, plus there’s 54 more points in one game for Lynwood’s Jason Crowe Jr. and 63 from a small school standout in the Sacramento area. For the girls, Tehachapi High’s Riley Walden makes headlines, there’s also a new 2,000-point scorer from San Diego and a rather Luv’lee player from the Inland Empire.
