This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. More than lists and numbers, we can provide historical context since we’ve maintained state records in California for more than 40 years. For boys hoops, there are several milestones reached by top scorers and we have a 500th career coaching win for one of the state’s most highly regarded head coaches. For girls hoops, one of those in the spotlight is from a team that started 1-10. We also say why one girl with a 38.2 reported scoring average has not been written up yet this season.
