This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. More than lists and numbers, we can provide historical context since we’ve maintained state records in California for more than 40 years. For boys hoops, we salute huge tournament showings from Carlsbad’s Jake Hall, Loomis Del Oro’s Caden Pinnick and La Canada St. Francis’ Mazi Mosley. Plus, perhaps this year’s top freshman has a huge outing with last year’s top freshman on the floor. For girls, we have two triple-doubles even though each girl’s team only scored 32 points.
