OPEN DIVISION
Serra of San Mateo (CCS Open) 12-0 vs. Mater Dei of Santa Ana (CIFSS D1) 12-1
Comments: Game set at Saddleback College Saturday, Dec. 9 at 8:00 p.m. Serra lost to Mater Dei, 44-6, in this game two years ago and lost last season in this game, 45-0, to St. John Bosco of Bellflower. By all indications and our own personal observations, the Padres are a better group than last season. That’s partly why there probably wasn’t too serious consideration for Clovis North to be at the top of the NorCal board.
