State Stat Stars of the Week

QB Anthony Luna from Western of Anaheim (left) has made it a habit to throw for 300 yards or more in a game. This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. More than lists and numbers, we can provide historical context since we’ve maintained state records in California for more than 40 years. We have several players from a 70-64 game in which the winning team had two 200-yard rushers and the losing team had a QB with 609 total offense yards. We also have seven TD passes in one half for a state record listing for Jackson Pollock of Laguna Beach and many, more standouts from tiny Princeton up north (enrollment 50) to the island of Coronado down south.

Note: This is a post only for our Gold Club members on CalHiSports.com. After the preseason, all weekly and final state rankings are available only to our Gold Club members as well as our state stat star of the week honor rolls. To check out getting a Gold Club membership to see all of those rankings plus all of our updated state record lists, totally authentic historical features, recruiting player ratings and more, CLICK HERE.
