This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. We still have two from basketball from Tuesday’s McDonald’s All-American Game. In baseball, a 19-inning marathon game between Sequoia of Redwood City and Palo Alto generated not one but three state record listings. And in softball, we have another slugger from Westlake Village (but not Oaks Christian), a girl who drove in 12 runs in one game and a pitcher who made her dreams come true days apart for two completely different endeavors (the other singing).
