These first rankings since the preseason rankings that were done just under a month ago have lots of changes now that some teams have played as many as 12 games heading into the Nike TOC and West Coast Jamboree and other upcoming tournaments during the holiday season. One thing that hasn’t changed is the top three teams. We are going with abbreviated write-ups this week so as to cover action right up until the top teams begin play at the TOC and Tarkanian Classic and a couple of other tournaments on Monday. We are also not doing a knee-jerk reaction for these rankings since who teams have played also needs to factor in who they will be playing. One team that lost was without the top player in Northern California and another top team that lost was without its head coach and he is the greatest of all time in California. After this set of rankings, the next one will be after the tournaments between Christmas and New Year’s including the West Coast Jamboree and SoCal Holiday Classic.
