It’s time to get going with our annual series of preseason football outlooks from different parts of the state through the selection of preseason honor squads. For this first stop, we begin our tour with the Inland Empire area of the CIF Southern Section. This team is for schools from Riverside and San Bernardino counties (including the High Desert and Palm Springs area plus a few schools in eastern L.A. County). This has been the domain of the legendary program at Centennial of Corona and that is the case once again.
Note: These preseason all-section or all-area teams are done in the same 30-player format as the annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. They are based on a combination of what the players did last season and college recruiting. Transfers may not be included if not reported yet, haven’t played for a new school yet, or info on a transfer from previous school isn’t available. Not every all-section team will have writeups of every player. Some will have an intro, then lists.
