There is a new No. 1 for the first time since the preseason as Villa Park goes that high for winning the Southern California Boras Classic and improving to 24-2. Buchanan of Clovis is a close second with previous No. 1 Orange Lutheran still at No. 3. Other big movers include Franklin of Elk Grove (now No. 13) and Huntington Beach (No. 14). This week’s only newcomers are also from the Boras Classic: La Mirada and Foothill (Tustin).
