Our next stop in our tour of the state with these preseason all-area honors is for the CIF San Diego Section. Preseason state No. 5 Cathedral Catholic has four players on first team, but is surpassed by Lincoln (which has five). There also is strong representation from St. Augustine, Torrey Pines and Mater Dei Catholic.

They are based on a combination of what the players did last spring and college recruiting.
