Several days after doing a feature on the all-time all-state small schools football teams, we are following up with the best-ever grads from California’s medium-sized schools. With Firebaugh’s Josh Allen playing in the AFC title game on Sunday, the medium schools group is led by another NFL QB still playing this week — probable league MVP Aaron Rodgers. He’s not the only one from a California medium school who’s among the best-ever in NFL history at his position, either.

Note: We’re using the same 30-player format for all of our all-state football teams that have been done for more than 40 years for this feature and are basing these teams on medium school level of competition that the schools involved have faced for almost all of their years.
Note: This is a post for our Gold Club members only. Our plan before high school competition resumes in the state will be to continue to produce historical features and all-time lists plus updating as many state records as we can so that when the games get going again our site will be as packed as its ever been with archives that will continue to grow with exclusive lists that don’t exist anywhere else. They will never get old and can continuously be checked by our members. That could be the next time someone scores eight TDs in a football game, 60 points in a basketball game or seven runs in a baseball/softball game.
