Single-Game Offense Records Updated

Some all-time state bests have actually taken place in CIF state finals, such as the 56 carries for San Francisco Lincoln’s Luis Contreras from last December. Photo: Harold Abend.

All individual single-game offensive categories for the state football record book files have now been updated heading into the 2020 season. In addition to updating all single-game totals for rushing, passing and receiving, we’ve also tried to list every 99-yard touchdown run or 99-yard touchdown pass in state history. There’s a good chance we didn’t get them all but better than just saying many are tied with the record. We still have single-game special teams and single-game defensive records to get done and we do include 8-man leaders as well.

Note: This is a post for Gold Club members only. We have even longer lists available in these categories in our exclusive football state records section. Before the 2020 season begins, we sure have the extra time to have all records updated and ready to go. To become a Gold Club member for as low as 6.8 cents per day, CLICK HERE.

Note: Special thanks to Sean Tennis for providing much of the research for these updates. We of course utilize MaxPreps.com leader lists for current players and we encourage all schools and coaches to use that platform. There can be errors in those lists, however, that are not edited (especially duplications) and there are still a few players who have unreported totals. MaxPreps also only goes back to the early 2000s. All California records before that were obtained through research by Cal-Hi Sports. We are the only source for state football records in California.
