One big difference between rankings, seedings and competitive equity is the last two don’t take into consideration the nuances that can take place during a season like injuries, family emergencies and coaching changes in mid-season. Other situations also can arise that usually impact but are not created by the girls. We hear all about these things that can get past the seeding committees and the computer hocus-pocus, but that’s what you pay for isn’t it? For this week, there are no new teams, but plenty of movement thanks to Orangewood Academy’s win over Etiwanda and Salesian of Richmond getting a win over Bishop O’Dowd.
