Every year, it seems Pleasant Valley (Chico), Sutter and East Nicolaus control the fortunes in the top three divisions in the Northern Section CIF. Those three will be strong once again, but rising Foothill (Palo Cedro) and Shasta (Redding) aren’t far off to push for top spot. Defending D3 section champ West Valley (Cottonwood) reloads and could repeat while Durham might duke it out with East Nicolaus once again in D4. Fall River is the class of D5.
