The 37th annual Cal-Hi Sports all-state teams selections for softball concludes with 30 players named second team overall and nearly 40 more who are third team. Any player from any school regardless of class or school size can be on second team. The third team, however, is only for seniors and only for large schools.

Note: This is a post for our Gold Club members only. We’ll have an inside look at this year’s all-state softball teams after all of the teams in baseball and softball are chosen, including names of other players that can be considered all-state sophomores and freshmen. That post also will be Gold Club plus many more unique California high school sports content items. To join our team today, CLICK HERE.

If you are chosen to any of the Cal-Hi Sports all-state teams, you should consider yourself an “all-state” player. Whether it’s first team overall, second team overall, third team, underclass, medium schools or small schools, to be on any of these teams should be considered an all-state honor.

This also makes everyone eligible to purchase an All-State patch through our partners from BillyTees.com. We wish we could send them all out for free, but there are no sponsors to cover the cost. Each patch also comes with a certificate suitable for framing. For details on the 2019 all-state softball patch, which can be obtained right now, CLICK HERE.

There are 1,200 high schools in California and the competition in softball is second to none.

Many of the best players from every team that played in the most recent College World Series in Oklahoma City — not just the ones from national champion UCLA but even from teams in the south — are from California high schools.

We try to research and collect info from everywhere we can and we give people several weeks to send in nominations. Still, it’s not a perfect system so of course it’s possible to miss on a deserving player.

With that said, congratulations to the following 2019 Cal-Hi Sports all-state softball second team members as well as third team:
