Preseason Inland Empire FB Team

Don’t let the somewhat lower than normal total of preseason honors candidates fool you. Corona Centennial remains the team to beat in this region of the state. One team that doesn’t have to worry about playing the Huskies in the postseason or any CIF Southern Section Division I team in the playoffs is Upland. The Highlanders project to be a major Division 1-AA state title contender and have four first team choices. CIFSS champions Rancho Verde (D3) has three and Cajon (D4) has four.

Note: These preseason all-section teams will be done in the same 30-player format as the annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. In other words, there has to be at least five offensive linemen, one to two receivers (may or may not be a tight end), two running backs, three defensive linemen, three linebackers and three defensive backs with a kicker, someone who is a proven punter and six multi-purpose players. They are based on a combination of what the players did last season and college recruiting. Not every all-section team will have writeups of every player. Some will have an intro, then lists.
