We are happy to announce that for the fifth straight year the CalHiSports.com web site and Cal-Hi Sports will be part of the weekly Final Quarter high school football show on Friday nights on the FOX 40 station in Sacramento.
On last week’s show, we revealed our picks for the Top 5 linebackers in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section. Here is what that countdown revealed:
1. Evan Tattersall (Granite Bay)
He committed to Cal during the summer and also has been Granite Bay’s top rusher. We wish him luck coming from injury suffered in game vs Folsom.
2. Jason Gallagher (Jesuit)
It was a big week for Jason prior to this list being done since he learned he had gotten an offer from Cal.
3. E.J. Larry (Sacramento)
He’s been a three-year standout for the Dragons and has more than 200 career tackles.
4. Marshaun Hunter (Del Campo)
He scored on defense for two straight weeks and recently was NorCal Defensive Player of the Week.
5. Leevi Lafaele (Inderkum)
Talented outside linebacker has offers from Wyoming and Hawaii.
Polls also will once again be conducted on the FOX 40 website for the Papa Murphy’s Fan Favorite Game of the Week. The 30-minute show is twice a long as any other Friday night high school football show in the Sacramento market.
Watch this week’s show Friday at 11 p.m. for all the local highlights, plus the next Top 5 from CalHiSports.com, which will be the top five defensive backs in the SJS. The show will include highlights from all of the biggest games in the region, including the Fan Favorite game of the week.
