Teams on the move the most among this group are Central Catholic of Modesto, Oakdale, Norco and Buchanan of Clovis. Newcomers going in are Bishop Amat of La Puente, La Habra and Serra of San Mateo. Amat and Serra have been in there before this season, but for La Habra it’s the first time this season.

26. (28) Murrieta Valley (Murrieta) 3-2
The Nighthawks continue to benefit from the big win in their last outing over an Oaks Christian team that had climbed to No. 25 two weeks ago. Their upcoming schedule in the Southwestern League also is going to help them to keep moving up in the state rankings or drop like a stone with another loss. That slate of contests begins Friday at Vista Murrieta, which has been in the State Top 50 this season. The career receiving state record watch for senior standout Marquise Spiker also resumes.
