Additional newcomers Granite Bay, Santiago of Corona, Newbury Park and Liberty of Bakersfield also are all written up in this post. This is the 38th consecutive season for Cal-Hi Sports state football rankings.

(After games of Saturday, Aug. 26)

26. (23) JSerra (San Juan Capistrano) 1-0
It’s just a slight drop for the Lions from their preseason position, mainly since a few other more local rankings we look at had them lower than other Trinity League teams (besides the obvious first two). First-year head coach Pat Harlow got a win in his first game when his team topped Corona del Mar of Newport Beach 45-27. QB Matt Robinson (Montana commit) passed for 340 yards and two TDs, according to OC Varsity. Al Fisher also rushed for 101 yards. The team plays at home against Alemany of Mission Hills in its next game.
