The 7th annual Ballislife All-American Game presented by Eastbay will take place on May 6 at Long Beach City College (Long Beach, Calif.). Many of the nation’s top seniors are scheduled to participate in the event held at Long Beach City College’s Hall of Champions Gymnasium.
Scheduled to participate at the event is 6-foot-4 Oregon St-bound guard Ethan Thompson, California’s Mr. Basketball who will play in front of family and friends one last time before matriculating to Corvallis to join his brother and father, Stephen Thompson Jr. and Sr. Ethan Thompson led Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, Calif.) to the state open division title and the No. 6 national ranking in the final FAB 50 powered by Ballislife.com. His brother participated in the 2015 BIL A-A Game.
Other local participants include three UCLA-bound standouts: Jaylen Hands (Foothills Christian, San Diego) Jalen Hill (Centennial, Corona) and Li’Angelo Ball (Chino Hills) are scheduled to participate. A fourth UCLA-bound player, Indiana native Kris Wilkes (North Central, Indianapolis) is scheduled to participate and a fifth, Cody Riley (Sierra Canyon, Chatsworth), was selected but unable to play due to injury.
Other standouts scheduled to participate include Stanford-bound Kezie Okpala (Esperanza, Anaheim), undecided center Brandon McCoy (Cathedral Catholic, San Diego) and LMU-bound Eli Scott (Chino Hills). The BIL A-A game also marks the SoCal return of USC-bound Charles O’Bannon Jr. (Bishop Gorman, Las Vegas, Nev.) and Kansas-bound Billy Preston, who is originally from the region but spent his senior season at national power Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.). O’Bannon is the son of 1993 Mr. Basketball Charles O’Bannon, who played at Artesia of Lakewood and helped UCLA win the 1995 NCAA title.

Past BIL A-A Game participants include professional players Stanley Johnson (Arizona), Zach LaVine (UCLA), Tyler Ulis (Kentucky), Kelly Oubre (Kansas), Marquese Chriss (Washington), Thon Maker (Milwaukee Bucks) and early entry NBA Draft candidates Lonzo Ball and T.J. Leaf (both UCLA).
