With new No. 7 Carondelet of Concord seemingly coming in out of nowhere after toppling St. Mary’s in Stockton, that only reinforces the fact that teams like Clovis West and Mitty, and in many respects Long Beach Poly, seem to be far and away better than teams below them. At least right now in the second week of January. Mater Dei of Santa Ana also is back in this week’s rankings.
