It’s a good thing Oaks Christian of Westlake Village was on a bye last week. We can’t take any more of this team’s wild-and-wacky offensive shootouts. Three different games involving the Lions already this season have produced some of the highest scores for a losing team in state history. Lakewood’s 80-64 win last week over Compton also has caused us to do some digging for most points by two teams in one game. Plus, we’ve now officially added Oakland Fremont’s Quincy Culpepper into the record files for the nine TDs he recently scored in one game.
