Some news of note that possibly the ordinary Bay Area high school football fans might not be aware of is the top league in the CIF North Coast Section with respect to the new buzz phrase “competitive equity,” the East Bay Athletic League, is now at nine teams with San Ramon Dougherty Valley and Dublin joining.
The result is while some teams get as many as 3-4 non-league games depending on the size of their league, action in the EBAL begins this week.
In these week one rankings and just like in the preseason rankings, the top two Bay Area spots still reside in Concord.
