Is there a chance that not every one of our final No. 1 teams will be from the CIF Southern Section? Yes, but it’s guaranteed for D1 and D2 and would take monumental upsets for either Ceres in D3 or Mariposa County in D5 to move up to the top spot for the final rankings. After all section semifinals are done, No. 1 teams are Orange Lutheran (D1), Mission Viejo (D2), Grand Terrace (D3), Paraclete (D4) and Rolling Hills Prep (D5).

Note: These divisions do not match divisional alignments in sections with Open Divisions and in sections with more than one playoff division. Our state rankings by division for many years have been done in five divisions and we’ll continue that again for the final weeks of this season.
