There’s something magical about 9-0 vs. 9-0 to end the regular season. We’ll have two this Friday involving state-ranked teams actually not far from each other with Oakdale at Central Catholic of Modesto and Orestimba of Newman at Gustine. Still No. 1 in our divisions are De La Salle of Concord (D1), Clayton Valley (D2), Camarillo (D3), Sierra Canyon (D4) and Grace Brethren (D5).
With the CIF bowl games now in 13 divisions and with it basically impossible to place teams into those divisions in a weekly format, we are rebooting our traditional five-division state rankings first done in 1975.
