There are two new No. 1 teams this week with Clayton Valley of Concord taking over in D2 and Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth doing the same in D4. Others still No. 1 are De La Salle of Concord (D1), Calabasas (D3) and Grace Brethren (D5). It’s a monster jump, meanwhile, for Moreau Catholic in D4 while others going in from last week’s bubble include Rancho Bernardo (D2) and Redondo (D3).
With the CIF bowl games now in 13 divisions and with it basically impossible to place teams into those divisions in a weekly format, we are rebooting our traditional five-division state rankings first done in 1975.
