Is Elk Grove Division I or II? Last few years it was Div I.
Elk Grove is D2 for SJS playoffs and likely will stay below the cutoff line for D1 and thus not have to play Folsom. Grant is the one that could go either way. Looking over the teams, my best guess is that the cutoff line is going to be below Grant and that Grant will be D1 and have to play in Folsom’s division. And to be clear, all SJS D1 and D2 teams are considered D1 North for the bowl games.
So that means that the D-2 winner could face Folsom (D-1 winner) in the regional game right? Grant or Elk Grove vs. Folsom.
Yes, the D2 SJS winner could play the D1 SJS winner (Folsom) in the NorCal game. Grant, however, may not be D2 in the section. To me, Grant probably will end up D1 in same section bracket as Folsom. Just won’t know for sure until section brackets are announced.
Correction was Div II!.
