The 32nd annual all-state teams package for softball also includes 30 players named second team overall plus 35 more who are third team. The third team, however, is only for seniors and only for large schools.

If you are chosen to any of the Cal-Hi Sports all-state teams, you should consider yourself an “all-state” player. Whether it’s first team overall, second team overall, third team, underclass, medium schools or small schools, to be on any of these teams should be considered an honor.
California remains, after all, the greatest state in the nation (by far) for softball and is still the worldwide leader. Let’s just hope that softball gets added back into the Olympics so a future U.S.A. team can show that once again.
