Gary Porter (left) has announced his retirement as the co-coach at new No. 18 Modesto Christian. Richard Midgley, a former player of Porter’s, will switch from co-coach to head coach beginning next season. Porter has been getting credit for the coaching wins because Cal-Hi Sports doesn’t credit two wins or one-half of a win in co-coaching situations.
