Here is what that countdown revealed with player, high school attended and notes:
1. Lance Briggs (Elk Grove) Seven-time All-Pro LB for Chicago Bears
2. Logan Mankins (Mariposa County) Five-time All-Pro OG and one Super Bowl ring with New England
3. Colin Kaepernick (Pitman, Turlock) 49ers’ QB led team to last January’s Super Bowl in 1st yr as starter
4. Stevie Johnson (Rodriguez, Cordelia) Three-straight 1,000 yard receiving seasons for Buffalo
5. Doug Martin (Stockton St. Mary’s) Injured now but sensational rookie debut last season as RB with Bucs
