California’s Central Valley has long been overlooked by basketball recruiters and scouts, but that is changing. The West Coast Super Showcase was created to help the region’s top basketball players gain exposure to West Coast scouts and media.
In the fall of 2012, the first annual West Coast Super Showcase presented by CaliforniaPreps.com in Fresno, Calif., was a smashing success. The event exposed Cal-Hi Sports to some of the region’s better underclass players such as point guard Murshid Randle (Central, Fresno), powerful forward Calvin Young (Bullard, Fresno) and point guard Colin Slater (Immanuel, Reedley).
Slater is slated to participate in the 2013 Fall West Coast Super Showcase presented by CaliforniaPreps.com. Other top prospects expected to be in attendance include Jordan Roberson (Cordova, Rancho Cordova) and Jordan Ford (Folsom). The one-day event takes place Saturday, October, 26 at Clovis East High School in Clovis.
The showcase is open to players currently enrolled in high school (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 classes). Enrollment takes place from 8AM – 9:30 AM.
