The last post on the previous home within ESPN for our exclusive California high school football content was the CIF state bowl game rankings for Week 3. Our final day in a official capacity connected to ESPN was Friday, September 14. It’s sad to be leaving such a juggernaut, but we wish many of our former colleagues the best and are excited about potential possibilities down the road.
The first post on this new home is the Top 25 Weekend Scoreboard after games played on September 14, including the matchup between Bakersfield and Long Beach Poly, the two winningest programs in state history. For our tweets done during that game, go to our Twitter page @CalHiSports.
All of our regular weekly features, such as the State Top 25 overall rankings, the CIF bowl game rankings and State Stat Stars will be posted on this site during the week of Sept. 17 to Sept. 21. The State Stat Stars for this week also will include any big-time individual performances turned in for games played from Sept. 6-8. We did not post the State Stat Stars feature on the ESPN page for that week.
This is a temporary home for our content, but should show to everyone that despite the difficulties of having the ESPN chapter close, we are not giving up. Feel free to let us know (email markjtennis@gmail.com) what you think and what you might like to see done differently.
We look forward to seeing what the next chapter brings.
Thanks,
Mark Tennis, Ronnie Flores, Paul Muyskens, Harold Abend

Great you guys found a home. Have enjoyed very much your coverage of high school football over last few years. Glad to see it will continue.
