The Under Armour Elite 24, the nation’s premiere summer showcase game, is headed back to New York City on August 24 and two Californians will participate in the event.
The 8th annual Elite 24 game will be played outdoors under the Brooklyn Bridge at the historic Tobacco Warehouse on August 24th at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live on ESPNU.
The game is headed back to New York for the first time since 2009. Between 2010 and 2012, the game was held at Venice Beach, Calif. In last year’s game, the Raymond Lewis squad beat the Marques Johnson squad 164-138.
There are five returnees from last year’s game on the 2013 Elite 24 roster, including 2012-13 Cal-Hi Sports State Junior of the Year, Stanley Johnson. The Mater Dei of Santa Ana standout scored 11 points in last year’s game.
The other Californian is first time participant Ivan Rabb from Bishop O’Dowd of Oakland, last year’s Cal-Hi Sports State Sophomore of the Year.
